The PL-Grid project
The main aim behind the construction of the national Grid infrastructure is to create and develop a stable Polish infrastructure of computing and data storage resources, as well as provide basic services to scientific users, maintaining full compatibility and interoperability with European and worldwide grids. The Project will last three years and will be conducted by the leading supercomputing centres in Poland. It is possible that ACARM could be used in that project as one of the mechanisms that increase the level of security of the grid infrastructure. More information about the project is available on the project's web site.

The EGEE project
The Enabling Grids for E-science project brings together scientists and engineers from more than 240 institutions in 45 countries world-wide to provide a seamless grid infrastructure for e-Science that is available to scientists 24 hours a day. Conceived from the start as a four-year project, the second two-year phase started on 1 April 2006, and is funded by the European Commission. ACARM is currently used to monitor the input and output traffic from the EGEE cluster placed in the WCNS. More information about the project is available on the project's web site.

The POSITIF project was the IST’s (Information Society Technologies) sixth programme project. The main goal of the project was to offer automatic tools to support security managers in protecting networked infrastructures and applications. The ideas and solutions developed by POSITIF are now available as open-source and commercial products. POSITIF uses a formal approach to describe the system to be protected, the security policy to be enforced and the security capabilities available. A set of tools then verifies the policy's coherence, creates the proper configuration of the security elements and applies it. The partners of the project included research institutions, user representatives and industrial companies that worked together towards making the vision of POSITIF come true. More information about the project is available on the project's web site.
